1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using the Dobiko Task mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This is a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the Dobiko Task development team ("we", "us", "our").
If you are under 18 years old, you must use this App only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please stop using the App and uninstall it immediately.
2. WHAT DOBIKO TASK DOES
Dobiko Task is a personal productivity and digital well-being application that helps you:
- Build and track daily habits
- Set and monitor personal goals
- Write private notes and journal entries
- Control your screen time by setting app usage limits
- Block distracting apps after your set time limit is reached
All of this happens entirely on your device. We do not operate our own servers to store your personal data.
3. PRIVACY AND DATA
Your privacy is our top priority. All personal data — habits, goals, notes, and app usage data — is stored exclusively on your device. We integrate two third-party services that may collect limited data: Google AdMob (for displaying ads) and RevenueCat (for managing Pro subscriptions).
4. USE OF PASSWORD MANAGEMENT AND EXPORT FEATURES
The App includes a local password management feature provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Device and Backup Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the physical and digital security of your device. Furthermore, if you choose to include your passwords in a data backup (Export Data), you are entirely responsible for the security of that exported file. We are not liable for any unauthorized access to your locally stored passwords or exported backup files resulting from a compromised device or shared files.
- Data Loss and Reset Features: Because your passwords and data are saved locally, they are subject to permanent loss under certain conditions. Uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data from your device's settings will result in the permanent loss of all data, including your passwords and App Guard configurations. Alternatively, if you use the "Reset & Wipe All Data" option within the App Lock screen, your personal data (passwords, notes, goals, etc.) will be permanently erased, but your App Guard (App Addiction Control) settings will intentionally be preserved. In either case, unless you have securely exported a backup, we cannot restore your lost data as we do not provide automatic cloud backups.
- Limitation of Liability: In no event shall the developers or owners of this App be held liable for any data breaches, financial losses, loss of access, or any other damages arising from your use of the password management feature or the local backup functionality. You use these features entirely at your own risk.
4B. PASSWORD MANAGER & AUTOFILL — TERMS OF USE
4B.1 Your Responsibility
By using the Dobiko Task Password Manager and Autofill Service, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the accuracy of the credentials you store. Dobiko Task acts only as a secure local vault and does not verify the validity of any saved username or password.
4B.2 No Recovery of Lost Credentials
Because your passwords are encrypted using a key stored exclusively in your device's secure hardware, Dobiko Task cannot recover your saved passwords if you uninstall the app, factory reset your device, or lose access to it. We strongly recommend maintaining your own secure backup of critical credentials.
4B.3 Autofill Permission
To use the Autofill feature, you must grant Dobiko Task the "Autofill Service" permission in your Android system settings. You retain full control and may revoke this permission at any time through Settings → General Management → Passwords & Autofill. Revoking this permission will disable the autofill functionality but will not delete your saved passwords within the app.
4B.4 Third-Party Apps
Dobiko Task's Autofill Service interacts with third-party applications only to detect the active app's package name and fill the appropriate credential. We have no affiliation with, and take no responsibility for, the security practices of any third-party application into which credentials are filled. You use this feature at your own discretion.
4B.5 Limitation of Liability
Dobiko Task and its developers shall not be held liable for any unauthorized access to your credentials resulting from device theft, malware, or your own sharing of device access with others.
5. PERMISSIONS
Dobiko Task requires certain device permissions to function properly:
- Usage Access: To track how long you use each app
- Accessibility Service: To detect and block restricted apps, and to draw the system-wide screen dimmer overlay
- Draw Over Other Apps: To display the block screen overlay
- Foreground Service: To run background monitoring when active limits are set
- Query All Packages: To list installed apps for you to select which to block
- Notifications: To show the service notification and habit reminders
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device Settings. However, doing so may limit certain features of the App.
6. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
6.1 Device Security
Since all your data is stored on your device, you are responsible for keeping your phone secure. We strongly recommend enabling a PIN, password, or biometric lock. We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your device.
6.2 User Responsibility for Data Security & Backups
Because Dobiko Task does not sync your passwords or personal data to any external cloud servers, you are solely responsible for maintaining secure backups of your data using the built-in 'Export' feature. Dobiko Task and its developers shall not be held liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, or device theft.
6.3 Account Recovery & App Lock Reset
You are solely responsible for remembering your App Lock PIN and Security Question answer. Because we do not store your data on our servers, we cannot offer a 'Forgot Password' reset link to recover your vault. If you lose your credentials, you may be required to reset the app locally, which may result in the permanent deletion of your data unless previously backed up.
6.4 Auto Service and Background Execution
To ensure features like "App Guard" function correctly and seamlessly, you may be required to grant the necessary Accessibility Service and Auto-Start / Background Execution permissions within your device settings.
You acknowledge that deliberately killing the app from the background or revoking these permissions may result in the failure of the app-blocking features. You retain full control and have the right to disable this service at any time through your device's system settings.
6.5 Lawful Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or modify the App; tamper with local data files to bypass app restrictions; or use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
6.6 Accuracy
You agree to enter accurate information in the App, particularly when setting deadlines, goals, or usage limits.
7. AGE REQUIREMENTS AND PARENTAL GUIDANCE
Dobiko Task is designed for users of all ages. The App does not collect personal information, has no social features, and does not enable contact with strangers. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use this App. In-App purchases require explicit parental consent.
8. PRO SUBSCRIPTION
Dobiko Task offers a "premium" subscription that unlocks premium features. All billing and payment processing is handled exclusively by the Google Play Store. Dobiko Task does not store, access, or process your credit card or payment information. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content within the Dobiko Task App is the exclusive intellectual property of the Dobiko Task development team and is protected by international copyright and trademark laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App solely for your own personal, non-commercial productivity purposes.
10. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Dobiko Task is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We are not liable for any loss of data, habits, goals, or notes resulting from hardware failure, operating system updates, uninstallation, or user error. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App or its Pro subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Dobiko Task integrates third-party services including Google AdMob and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Dobiko Task development team is registered.
15. BUILD FEATURES DISCLAIMER
By using the Build features in this app, you agree to the following terms:
15.1 Informational Purposes Only
The tools provided in the Build Screen—including the Nutrition Tracker, BMI Calculator, 30-Day Challenge, and Build Program—are designed strictly for informational and self-tracking purposes. They are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
15.2 Accuracy of Nutrition Data
The calorie, protein, carbohydrate, and fat values provided in the Nutrition Tracker are approximate estimates based on standard serving sizes. Actual nutritional values may vary. We do not guarantee the 100% accuracy of the food database and cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies.
15.3 BMI and Health Metrics
The Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator is a general screening tool and does not take into account your muscle mass, bone density, or overall body composition. It should not be used as the sole indicator of your health.
15.4 Consult a Physician
Always seek the advice of your physician, a registered dietitian, or another qualified healthcare provider before starting any new diet, fitness program, or the 30-Day Challenge. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of information you have read on this app.
15.5 Assumption of Risk
Engaging in fitness activities or altering your diet carries inherent risks. By using the Build features, you assume all risks associated with your dietary choices and physical activities. The developers of this app shall not be held liable for any injury, health issues, or damages resulting from the use or misuse of the information provided in this application.
16. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENCRYPTED DATA (E2EE)
By utilizing the End-to-End Encryption features of Dobiko Task, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following:
16.1 No Data Recovery
Because your data is encrypted using keys stored exclusively on your personal device, we do not possess the technical ability to bypass this encryption. If you forget your master password, PIN, or if you lose access to your device, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by us.
16.2 User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for safely maintaining the confidentiality of your App Lock credentials. Dobiko Task and its developers shall not be held liable for any permanent data loss resulting from forgotten passwords, lost devices, or unbacked-up local data.
